Herman and Jolanda van Vliet wish you a warm welcome to Lauwerslodge,
the first green guesthouse in the Northern Netherlands that serves Slow food.
That stands for tasty, pure and regionally honest food.

Lauwerslodge
Lauwers Lodge is named after the old river the Lauwers, It’s source begins close by. Situated on the province border of Friesland and Groningen and bordering onto a protected nature reserve. It’s a special place ideal for a quiet stay. The environmentally friendly lauders lodge reflects the style of the countryside with a feel of casual elegance.

The spacious bathroom has an original wooden shower cubicle and sink. There is a separate toilet room.
Privacy
Because our lodge is separate from the house, you have complete privacy. The lodge is fully furnished and has underfloor heating and a spacious bathroom.

For people who still want to be connected to the rest of the world during a weekend away, we have

You will find in the open kitchen
an espresso machine, kettle, microwave, induction hob, fridge, basic tools and crockery.
Impression
The surroundings
The Westerkwartier is characterized by a small scale and a friendly atmosphere. The region is ideal for cycling and walking, for example through the unique river and swamp area of the Lauwers river. Furthermore, a day trip to one of the Wadden islands, such as Schiermonnikoog, is a good idea. Prefer a bit more liveliness? Then the city of Groningen, with its many monuments, concerts and festivals, is also a great option.
