Herman and Jolanda van Vliet wish you a warm welcome to Lauwerslodge,
the first green guesthouse in the Northern Netherlands that serves Slow food.

Omke Siebrens wenwein
Our caravan is named after our distant relative Omke Siebren, who earned a living with chair mats and traveled around the Frisian countryside. The caravan is now in the beautiful nature reserve in the Westerkwartier, on the border between Groningen and Friesland. Here we give substance to sustainable living in our own way .

Especially for our guests, we have a basket with local products, tasteful and in season, with recipes for the time of stay.

Privacy
Because our caravan is separate from the house, you have complete privacy. The caravan is fully furnished as in the thirties, simple and functional and has a wood stove a beautiful bathroom in a separate little house.
Bathroom

The bathroom is situated in a separate house behind the caravan has an original wooden shower cubicle and sink. A bio-toilet is located in the same room..

For people who still want to be connected to the rest of the world during a weekend away, we have
Wi-Fi.

Speciaal voor onze gasten hebben we een mand met

Kitchen
In the caravan, the 'kitchen' consists of a table with petroleum set, (slow cooking), cutlery and pans are available as well as basic tools and crockery.
Impression
The surroundings
The Westerkwartier is characterized by a small scale and a friendly atmosphere. The region is ideal for cycling and walking, for example through the unique river and swamp area of the Lauwers river. Furthermore, a day trip to one of the Wadden islands, such as Schiermonnikoog, is a good idea. Prefer a bit more liveliness? Then the city of Groningen, with its many monuments, concerts and festivals, is also a great option.
